Fashion Update

Two things I am digging at the moment...

First are these to-die-for heels.

Job: to kick ass

Price: $650

Just like Fashion Toast's Rumi Neely (where I found them - see the post here), I love the zipper on the boots. Normally, I have zippers on shoes - Roos, Boots, Sneakers, anything, but for some reason I love it on these kicks.

I also love the shape of the heel. Very rocker meets fashion. To die!

Buy them here... if you have a spare $650.
Secondly, I am gushing over Blake Lively's outfit on an episode of Gossip Girl. She is my fashion icon (along with Drew Barrymore) and I am love with this ensemble. One part fall, two parts chic and voila! This outfit is so classy, chic and fresh. I would go duplicate this outfit in a second if Columbia, Missouri had (1) these clothes and (2) if I had money. I am always holding my breath to see what she is wearing. What will be next?

Stumbled upon these beauties today (check out the post here). They were created by Swiss art director Juri Zaech. I cannot find any pricing or real information about these personalized bikes. :'( All I can find is Juri's profile.

The Insides of Cartoon Characters

Check out the insides of some great anatomically correct cartoon characters by artist Jason Freeny. See his blog here or his website here. In his bio section, it says he one day aspires to work for Pixar, and I believe he has the talent (albeit maybe a little creepy for Pixar). What do you think?

Exterior Projections

The other day I saw a tweet from the Guggenheim Museum (yes, I follow them on twitter). It led me to a really cool video of projections onto the exterior of the building. I have seen similar things to this before, but none as detailed as this one. I love the spinning bands of videos which make the building come alive. They really used the shape of the building in this demonstration. Take a peek of the video here or watch it below.

"Developed by YouTube and the Guggenheim Museum in collaboration with HP and Intel, YouTube Play. A Biennial of Creative Video recognizes the ever-expanding realm of online video and its most remarkable practitioners. YouTube Play Live from the Guggenheim is a celebration of 25 videos and their creators, selected by the jury from over 23,000 submitted."

MIZZOU RAH! MIZZOU RAH! TIGERS!

I am always proud to be a Mizzou Tiger, but I have never been more proud in my life. MU beat OU (the #1 team in the nation). It was a tough, but great game. Prior to this game, Mizzou had lost the last 19 out of 20 games to OU, so it was our moment. The streets of downtown were buzzing with honking, MIZ's and general cheering. I cannot even describe the atmosphere - it seems akin to winning the Super Bowl (and Columbia sure looks like it today with a hurricane of trash everywhere). I just wish I would have gotten a piece of the goal post (which was carried down to Harpo's and cut into pieces.)

Sorry. Bikes. Beer. Alice.

Sorry, I have been slacking lately, but I have been ever so busy with midterms, journalism projects and my other blog/site - Mobile Journalism Tools. I will try to be better but until homecoming is over this weekend, don't count on it. I w ill leave you with two things -

(1) 120 Bikes on a Wall - much like 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, only with less liquor and less fun. Although, it is a sight to see. Check out the Sweet-Station post here.

(2) http://www.yooouuutuuube.com/v/ Alice in Wonderland Video. It is equal parts trippy, fun and reminds me of my childhood. I approve. (Warning: will get stuck in your head!)
